data.open.ac.uk is the home of open linked data from The Open University. It is the main platform integrating many of the contributions of the LUCERO project, including experiences on the technical infrastructure for University linked data, the organisational aspects of gathering and exposing linked data in HE, and on the way linked data can be exploited in a university such as the Open University (see the presentation below).

data.open.ac.uk is also the first of its kind in the UK (and most likely the world): the first initiative to expose public information from across the university in an accessible, open, integrated and web-based format (see the press release from November 2010). Since then, a number of other UK and European universities have followed, taking the experience and model generated by LUCERO to open up data for education and research (see linkeduniversities.org).

data.open.ac.uk gathers and exposes data from a number of repositories from the Open University, including information about publications, courses, audio/video material or open educational material. Another interesting aspect of data.open.ac.uk is that it not only provides the data, but several demonstrators showing how linked data at a university can be used, and can be beneficial, to students, lecturers, researchers, etc.
